Shrines of Our Lady

As part of the continuing Catholic Experience, we have decided to include sections about the Shrines of Our Lady.

As you know Bob and Penny have traveled to most if not all of these Shrines of Our Lady and gathered extensive information about each of them. We want to include information on what to see, what to do and how to get there.

Bob and Penny know the custodians of these Marian Shrines and will give their insights into the particular customs and nuances of each of these Shrines.

For example: The Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette is above the tree line in France and getting there is not easy. Furthermore most pilgrims stay at the Pilgrim house provided rather than come back down the mountain and stay elsewhere. Each night is a candle procession similar to Lourdes. And of course, the scenery is breathtaking.

They have opened the doors to the archive center here at Holy Family Mission to include very detailed information about each of the Shrines of Our Lady and they are guiding our efforts as we put together the Catholic Experience of Mother Mary.
