Our Lady of the Rosary
The Basilica of the Rosary in Lourdes. Our Lady of the Rosary Basilica in Lourdes The faithful pilgrims to Lourdes paid for a Basilica of the Holy Rosary to be built. This Basilica is called the "underground Basilica, since it is located under the upper Basilica. In this Basilica there is an Altar dedicated to each Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious mystery. Above each of these 15 Altars is a magnificent mosiac of the individual mysteries. These mosiacs have been photographed and copied for many years. The Shrine of Lourdes permitted us to enter the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary late at night, after hours to video tape each mosaic of the mysteries of the Rosary. We then edited this into a special program called, "Our Lady of the Rosary in Lourdes."
