Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine

            When our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to Juan Diego, a poor Indian who had recently converted to the faith, Mexico was on the verge of a bloodbath massacre.  When we think of Mexico, we think of all the land south of our border.  When our Lady appeared, Mexico included much of what is the United States, today.  On the eve of Mother Mary's appearance, the Indians were planning to attack and wipe out every vestige of Europeans in their land.

Oh Immaculate Virgin,
Mother of the true God and Mother of the Church!
You, who from this place gross
your mercy and your compassion
to all who ask for your help;
hears the prayer that you are heading with filial confidence,
and present it to your Son Jesus, the one Redeemer our.

Mother of Mercy, Teacher of hidden and silent sacrifice,
You, you go out to meet us sinners,
also we consecrate our lives, our jobs,
our joys, our infirmities and our sorrows.

Give peace, justice and prosperity for our peoples;
because all we have and we are what we put under your care,
Lady and our Mother.

We want to be totally yours and go with you the way
For full fidelity to Jesus Christ to his Church:
We let go of your loving hand.

Virgin of Guadalupe, Mother of the Americas, we pray for everyone
The bishops, to lead the faithful along paths
of intense Christian life, love and humble service to God
and souls.

Contemplate this immense harvest, and intercede for the Lord   
instill a hunger for holiness in the whole People of God, and grant abundant vocations of priests and religious, strong in the faith and zealous dispensers of the mysteries of God.

Grant to our homes
grace to love and respect life begins
with the same love with which you conceived in your womb
the life of the Son of God.
Virgin Mary, Mother of Fair Love, protect our families,
So they will be very close, and blesses education of our children.

Our hope, look at us with compassion,
Teach us to go continually to Jesus and, if we fall, help
to get up, to return to him, by confessingour sins
and sins in the Sacrament of Penance
bringing calm to the soul.

We beseech you to grant us a great love for all sacraments,
That are the tracks that your Son left us on earth.

Thus, Blessed Mother, with the peace of God in consciousness,
With our hearts free from evil and hatred,
We carry all true joy and true peace,
coming of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ,
that with God the Father and the Holy Spirit,
lives and reigns forever and ever.
